Someday They Will Be A Big Help

For now they just make more of a mess! They have been obsessed this week with washing the house, the car, the windows and today the driveway. It keeps them busy so who am I to complain:) He even has a washing outfit with rain boots.

Goodbye Butterflies

We had a lot of fun watching them, and the boys were devastated when I said we had to let them go as they wanted to keep them forever.

First Game

Here is his team before the game. He was so excited to get to wear his uniform.

The hats are all too big and they push down on the kids ears, everytime I would look at one of the kids I would have to try hard not to laugh at them!

This is his good friend who is the son of my friend from high school (Dax). The boys have been playing together since they were little and we signed the boys up together to play on the same team.

He did really well. He is good at stopping the balls in the field and hitting the ball. We are still working on aiming the ball when he throws it, though. You never know where it is going to end up:)

12 Weeks

She loves her bumbo and enjoys sitting in it as well as her highchair and just watching me or her brothers. She went to the Dr. today for a check up and she weighs 14lbs and 2 oz. She is in the 95% for weight and her head size and 50% for her height. I try not to take it personally when hubby says that she obviously didn't get her body shape from him:) She is smiley and generally happy as long as she is not in her car seat or overly tired. She has also finally figured out how to poop. In the last 3 days she has pooped 7 times! I'm kind of hoping that she will go back to hardly pooping as it was so nice not having to change dirty diapers more than once a week. She is still sleeping great at night but I still haven't moved her to her room yet:) It is so much fun now that she is getting a personality and becoming more aware of everything. Her brothers still think she is the greatest and I can't wait to see them play together when she gets a little older.

5

I can't believe he is 5 allready. Overall it has gone by so fast. The first 3 months of his life were so long that I never imagined I would even live to see him reach 5, but thankfully he got a lot easier:)It is hard to believe he was this small. I went into the hospital one day before I was 36 weeks pregnant with preeclampsia. After 3 days of inducing I finally went into labor and from the beinning of labor until he came out was just over 2 hours! I don't remember much of it since they were giving me drugs to go to sleep since the nurse did not really believe I was in labor. After I told her he was coming out and that I was pushing she finally called the midwife. My mom basically delivered him as the midwife arrived after his head was all ready out!I think he pretty much cried for the first couple of months and had horrible reflux and spitting up. This was one of his rare smiles at this age. He was so cute! He looks a lot like his baby sister with brown eyes in this picture to me.At about 3 months things got a lot easier. He spit up until he was 14 months old, but started sleeping 12 hours every night at 11 weeks which made the days a lot easier to handle! He loved his daddy at this age and would be content just laying on his chest for hours. Now he is a big boy who knows it all. He is so excited to go to kindergarten next year, and doesn't seem sad at all that he is going to be leaving me every day:(
I let him choose where he wanted to go today and of course he chose Chuck E Cheese. I have had him on a gluten free diet for 2 years and decided last week to take him off of it. If his ulcers or stomach issues return I will put him back on the diet, but for now I want him to enjoy being a kid and eating what everyone else eats. So...anyways today was the first time having normal pizza that he can remember and he loved it. He had at least 5 pieces and thought it was the best thing he had ever eaten! So far he hasn't had any problems so I hope that continues.
Chuck E Cheese is his little brothers favorite place to go too.
I think both of his uncles think it is fun too.
Little Mimi wasn't too into the rides yet, but liked frosting. The baby spent most of the time sleeping, but did spend some time sitting on my sisters big belly telling her little cousin to hurry up and come out.

Then gave my Dad some strange looks like she wasn't sure who he was or what he was doing! Overall it was a very fun time but I do hope that Little Man chooses something different for his birthday:)

My First (and last) Airshow

Here are the kids as we waited 2 HOURS to get into the airforce base today for the show. I didn't know the wait was so long or I wouldn't have even gotten out of the car! This was right after a lady pushed me and accused me of cutting into the line (which I was not!) I was actually in shock and didn't even respond. What sort of a person pushes a woman wearing a baby and pushing 2 other kids in a stroller??!! So I walked about 3 miles in the heat and at exactly 2 hours and 25 minutes after getting out of the car we got to the show area. Did I mention I was by myself as well since hubby has to work this weekend? My hubby took Big Man to the last show 2 years ago and all he said was that it was great. He did not mention anything about lines and hours of waiting to get to the show.
Once we got in it was pretty cool seeing all of the different planes and helicopters but I was so exhausted that I just wanted to sit down. There was no shade anywhere so I was glad I had grabbed an umbrella.
We watched the different planes in the show and met some really nice pilots.

This was a cool fighter plane that we got to look inside of. Thankfully baby was great. From the time we left the car until we got back 5 hours later she woke up once to eat and slept the rest of the time. The boys were pretty good as well considering the lines, the sun and crowds. On the bright side I think I am 10 lbs closer to losing the baby weight as I am pretty sure that is about the amount of weight I lost today in sweat! Now I must go find something for my sunburn and go to bed.

I Love Picture People!

They get the best shots. She seemed to love getting her picture taken as well. She just kept posing and didn't get cranky at all:)
The boys on the other hand just complained and would hardly smile. I did get one decent picture of them together, though.
It is hard to believe but Big Man is going to be 5 in a couple of days! Little Man is now 3.5 and the baby of course is 11 weeks. As big as she is all ready I don't think they will be putting her on their laps much longer for pictures:)
I pulled out the boys first pictures and my hubby and I had a good laugh! Little Man's above is at 7 weeks and Big Man below is at 2 months. You always think your kids look so cute when you are looking at them. But looking back at baby pictures they don't look as cute as I remember:) I think the baby definitely looks more like Little Man but we will just have to wait and see.
Picture People have a great coupon out until Tuesday where you get an 8x10 free and then 30% off everything else so each sheet is like $12.50. If you want me to send it to you let me know.

Shame On You

I'm not happy with a DECISION our President is expected to make. How can a man who claims to be a Bible believing Christian feel it is o.k. to force people to kill babies. I hope you go read it, very interesting.

Another Baby

Baby butterflies, that is! We have 4 that we are waiting to hatch out of their chrysalis. I almost ordered another kit for this year since the kids had so much fun watching them last year, but at our monthly science center class we got caterpillars and they built the butterfly cages. Can't beat that!

Zoo

We took another trip to the Phoenix Zoo yesterday. As always it was a lot of fun, although yesterday it was hot and croweded. I didn't realize that it was spring break for all the kids!
I liked these water pictures because as my hubby just commented while looking at them "so they really do love each other." After days like today we kind of start wondering...

Little Mimi had a great time as well:)

Need More Food

My Mommy isn't feeding me enough...I'm almost 11 weeks old and only weigh 14 lbs.
I'm a pretty good girl as long as my Mommy is holding me! She even got a new wrap that is not so hot for summer and I love it. Because she is so good to me I sleep 9-10 hours straight for her every night, then I eat and sleep another 4.

More Shoes

So today, because the boys still don't have enough shoes, I got them more! But how can you say no when they are free. Desert Surf Company has a coupon out through Tuesday where every day you get $25 worth of free merchandise with NO minimum purchase. If anyone wants one send me a message and I will e-mail it to you. I'm sending hubby back tonight and then hopefully I can get my Mom to go with me again on Monday so I will be getting $100 worth of shoes for free:)

31

I feel like I am constantly picking up my kids shoes and putting them away. Tonight Big Man was in an organizing mood and organized all of their shoes and then we counted how many pairs they have and no wonder I feel like I am always picking them up because they have 31 pairs! All of the shoes are ones they wear, and my boys definitely love their shoes and have been known to change shoes 3-4 times per day with their different outfit changes that they tend to do. Within one day they can go from dressing like army men to cowboys to baseball players to workers etc... and they have shoes specific for each outfit of course. We don't need to get into how many shirts and pants they have as well...they sure are lucky to have a Grandma that likes to shop and knows how to find the good sales:)

Reading

If I had a camera I would have posted a picture of Big Man reading his first Bob book! He has been on the verge of reading for a while so every month or so I pull out the beginning reader books and have him try to read. Usually he gets through a page and doesn't want to do anymore and I haven't been pushing him. Today, though, he read the entire first book and I only had to help him with one word. Then when hubby came home he read him another book and needed very little help. Little Man wants to feel important too and will pretend to read the book after Big Man and we have to tell him he is doing a great job too:)

Broken

Big Man dropped my camera at the zoo and this is how my pictures come out looking now:( My hubby is so nice, though. I told him the camera was broken and he told me that's o.k. I was going to buy you another one soon! How long it takes for him to actually pick one out and get if for me is the unknown, though. He is very picky and will probably research for weeks before he buys, and he never even uses the camera:) My mom has some cute pictures at the zoo, so once I get them I will put them up as well.

Yes, I Am One Of Those Mothers

I haven't let the Dr. give her any shots yet, but I did let her get pierced!
It did not even faze her. She was asleep and cried quietly after they did it for about 30 seconds then went back to sleep.
Little Mimi got hers done too and she did so good as well.

Little League Player

Big Man is playing little league t-ball for the first time and is sooo excited. Daddy had to take him to buy baseball pants and shoes even a belt along with the standard new glove, bat and tee. He wants to wear them every day. After yesterday, though, I told him that he could only wear his baseball clothes for baseball practice or a game:)

Watch The Ball! Daddy can't make most of the practices so we took the kids to the park yesterday to have a private practice.

I know I am the Mom, but I think he is really good for a 4 year old! He can hit the ball really hard, stops the ball when it is anywhere close to him and he can throw decent as well. He is the youngest on the team as he made the cutoff by one week. It was a good thing he came a month early or he wouldn't be playing until next year:)

Almost Like Camping...

We were supposed to go camping this weekend but the campground was full. The kids were bummed so Daddy built a fire so we could still roast hot dogs and marshmallows.

He was showing the kids everything you should not do with a fire because he had a hard time getting it going. He got out the hairspray and then finally poured a bunch of lighter fluid on it so our food had a nice chemical taste to it:)

The kids forgot all about camping they had so much fun! Makes my wonder why we don't do this more often.

Our smores are just chocolate and marshmallows...yummy! We then let the kids go to sleep in front of the fire in their sleeping bags. They haven't asked about camping since so our fake camping worked!
