I Have An Issue...

With sunglassess. I constantly lose them or break them! I just bought a new pair 2 weeks ago and I can't find them. They are probably at my Mom's or hubby's Grandma's I just haven't taken the time to ask yet. Then today I buy a new pair at Walmart, but by the time I get to the car they are missing. They are on the receipt but not in any bag. I wasn't about to unload 3 kids again and go back in for a $10 pair of sunglasses, but seriously where could they have gone? I kind of think the cashier took them after she ringed them up because she was looking at me weird when I was leaving!

8 Weeks

She still hasn't gotten the whole smiling thing down, but she is getting better:) She still hasn't learned to poop very often either. I had to take her to the Dr. last Friday because she hadn't pooped in 13 days! They gave me some suppositories to give her that worked in 1 minute so that was good, now I have to give her a suppository after 10 days of no pooping. She weighed 12lbs 1oz so she is growing fast.
She is an amazing sleeper at night. She goes to bed between 8 and 9 and most nights will sleep until 6 in the morning! A couple of nights this week she woke up at 4:30, but I'm not complaining! She is still sleeping in the basinet by my bed because even though she is sleeping all night I'm not. I still wake up and check on her at least 10 times each night. I was not nearly this neurotic with the boys but for some reason I am with her:) The hubby and I are way more relaxed in some ways too as we did not let the boys sleep in our room this long either and we both kind of like still having her in our room, thankfully she is a very quiet sleeper.

Electricity

This month at the science center the kids had fun learning about electricity, particularly static electricity. Grandma watched the baby so the kids were happy I could devote all of my attention to them! It is funny hearing the teacher explain about electrons and protons and neutrons and completing circuits to 3-5 year olds, but it is equally as funny when the kids attempt to explain it back to me like they know what they are talking about:) Either way they had a lot of fun and can't wait for next month.

Riding

We went over to my new sister-in-laws parents house, which is one of my kids favorite places to go. They got to go on quad rides around the yard with their new favorite person.
Even the baby got her first ride:)

So Hubby What Have You Been Up To???

Just hanging out with the President and Press Secretary Gibbs... He did get to meet the President and exchanged a few words with him but he thought it would be a little unprofessional to ask for a picture so one with his car was the next best thing:)

First Trip To The Zoo

I decided to take the kids to the wildlife zoo, by myself, and we had a really good time. Everyone behaved and it wasn't terribly overwhelming so I will have to start taking all of them out more often. The baby was in her stroller for about as long as it took me to take this picture, the rest of the time I had her in my wrap as she was much happier in there.

Obviously doing my hair and makeup is not at the top of the priority list lately:)

This is the kids 3rd time to the new aquarium there, but they still love the touch tanks there.

And the best touch tank, the sting rays! We won't be going back again for a long time since my membership is up soon and the memberships are more than twice what they were last year so hopefully they will remember this visit for a while:)

Red

We have a pretty boring house with lots of browns and tans so we decided to go very bold with the bathroom. We let the kids paint where the vanity and toilet are going to go and now they think they are professional painters and want to paint everything!

6 Weeks

She is such a big girl now! She can hold her head up pretty well most of the time and she weighs about 12 pounds all ready. She is just about to outgrow her 0-3 month clothes:( She hasn't even worn half of them yet. We are still waiting for that hair to grow, little girls are not supposed to have mullets!!!
She has been trying to smile this past week. This is how they typically look.

Every once in a while we get a real smile though! All of us get so excited over her goofy smiles:)

Pinewood Derby

It definitely must be a guy thing as I had never heard of a pinewood derby car before last week. I guess they are a pretty big deal, though. They have pinewood derby races every year for Awanas and of course the boys wanted to do it. That night after announcing it my hubby pulled out his pinewood derby car he had made with his Grandpa when he was 9 and told the boys all about it. Then he got online and ordered special instruction downloads on how to make the best derby car. He and the boys (mostly he!) put in a lot of time with the cars and they turned out so cute.

They each were in 2 races. Unfortunately, Big Man had one loose wheel and did not win a race. Little Man's race car was super fast, though, and he won each race easily.

No Longer A Bachelor

I can't believe my little brother is married! He couldn't have chosen a better wife:) It was a fun wedding and here they are singing the song "Lets Make Love" by Tim and Faith. I think we all know what was on their mind!!!

Bathroom Update

We have a new tub and walls again. My brother in law is now in the process of painting and hopefully we will get the tile done this week as well. Only having one bathroom is getting a little old!!
The boys fill their pockets with "tools" every day as they are watching the work being done in the bathroom. They will then go outside and complete "work" on their jungle gym.

They even have to wear a pencil behind their ears like Handy Manny.

She Just Gets Cuter

It is so much fun getting to put her in dresses! We were getting ready to go to my Mom's for a little party for my future sister-in-law and her family. She even got to wear her bracelet that her Far Away Grandma got her. She has the typical baby issues now, though. She has lost a lot of hair on the top of her head and she is covered with acne some days. I was hoping it wouldn't happen to her like it did with the boys, but I still think she looks beautiful:) I know I'm very biased.

Even her brothers still can't get enough of her...this is the typical loving dog pile that they do with her!

First Night Out

We took my future sister-in-law out for her bachelorette party on Tuesday night. It was the first time I had left the baby for any length of time, but she didn't seem to even notice! We had a lot of fun, we went out to dinner then went to Mill Ave and had her do a little scavenger hunt and then we went to the Big Bang and listened to the piano players.

This was the creepy guy who would not take no for an answer...He kept coming over and trying to get us to dance with him (this is not a dancing kind of place, by the way!) and we kept saying no and then he grabbed my wrists and was literally dragging me across the floor and hurting me when the bouncer came over and threw him and his creepy friends out. So if you ever see this guy... get away he's a freak! If he wasn't so old and weird I would have been flattered to have a guy want to dance with me so badly:)

Someone Needs A Haircut!

The boys like to have the blow dryer on them after taking a bath to warm up, so this is what he looks like after the blow dryer! He thinks he looks really good:)
