29 Weeks

Had my 29 week check-up yesterday. I have gained 27 pounds and the baby is big for size. When the midwife actully took the first measurement she said Oh this can't be right she is measuring way too big. She measured again and it came down a couple of days, but I just have big babies! She weighs almost 4 lbs all ready. She worked for about 45 minutes to get some good 4D shots and this was about the best. The baby was right behind the placents so it blurred her features a bit and she liked having both hands and a foot right by her face. It is a little hard to distinguish in the picture, but that is her leg and her foot is resting on her forehead. She is basically in the same position that she was in at 21 weeks and that picture is HERE
Here is my big belly.

Fall Planting

Every October we replant the plants that have died over the summer in the flower bed. The kids love to help, but they are really searching for worms, not helping plant!
We got our winter grass planted and we are all ready for the fall season.

Noah

It was Bible character dress up night at Awanas, so Big Man wanted to be Noah. We made him a nice gown out of a pillowcase and gave him a belt of rope with a hammer to build the ark with!

We Start Them Early...

My hubby returned from his hunting trip and was unpacking and he brought out some beer and put it in the fridge. We never have beer in the house, but Little Man looked right at it and says: That is my favorite juice that Grandpa gives me, I love that juice! So dad, is that how you keep my kids relaxed when you watch them:)

Jets

The kids have been asking me everyday to go and watch the jets out at the base. So, on Friday I took them out and we parked and the kids sat on the hood and ate their lunch and watched the jets for an hour or so. I even enjoy watching the jets, they are pretty amazing!

Pumpkin Farm

I took the kids out to Tolmachoff Farms for their pumpkin festival. I couldn't believe how hot it still was outside. My kids refuse to wear anything but jeans and long sleeved shirts now, but I was in capri's and a short sleeve shirt and was miserable!
We went through their corn maze, we never did find our way out the correct way, the kids just burrowed their way out through corn, they still throught it was fun, though.
They had a bunch of animals as well.
Then they just played in their playground.
Does it look like they were a little exhausted by the time we picked out their pumpkins??!! They had a good time, I think it is outrageously expensive for a couple of hours of fun and a couple of pumpkins, but at least it is only once a year!

Horsie

Now that the weather is so nice, the kids play outside all day long. I let them take out whatever toys they want and the neighbor kids come over and bring their toys as well. A couple of the neighbor girls started playing with dolls a lot and that got Big Man into wanting his own baby. He doesn't call his horsie a baby, but that is what it is!
He wants to take him everywhere, if he is eating he puts horsie in his own chair. If he is coloring he gets horsie his own coloring book and crayons and tells me that he is going to help horsie color the page, and yes he talks to horsie frequently!
He use to want to change horsie's clothes morning and night since he discovered that the baby's clothes fit him perfectly, but I finally told him that horsie can only have one outfit.
Of course it had to be a pink outfit. I am pretty tolerant and use to let him take horsie everywhere. But with horsie dressed in pink, I have had to limit him. Just tonight when we were going into the grocery store I had to tell him that the sign on the door said no horsies. I don't want him to think it is me!

Horrible Week

I think that just about anything that can wrong this week has! On Monday when were coming home our flight was canceled at the last minute which put us having to be at the airport for 10 hours in Omaha before coming home, that was fun. Then we get home and ever since I have had horrible pain in my back. I guess all of the sitting around the airport and on the airplane has injured me somehow! I have a ton of work to do around the house and for my job that I am trying to get caught up on and then yesterday I notice that it looks like Little Man has a rash on his face. Today it is worse so I go to take him to the Dr. and my car won't start. About once a year the security system in my car thinks I am breaking in and won't start for an hour, so thankfully it isn't a major problem, just an inconvenience. So, my Dad has to take us to the Dr. and Little Man is diagnosed with what is probably Roseola. My kids were absolute nightmares today after the Dr as well, I guess they think I need to be punished for leaving them. Big Man would not stop whining and complaining and Little Man decided he wanted to color all over the house with a purple crayon. Then the dog pulls dishes off of the counter onto the floor where they shatter into tiny little pieces that make it almost 20 feet away. Even after sweeping and vacuuming we are still getting little slivers of glass in our feet. And tonight I realize that my Hubby is leaving tomorrow for 5 days. I just did not realize it was Thursday tomorrow. I am just dreaming about the valium I would be taking right now if I weren't pregnant:)
The kids were posing for pictures today while we were waiting for the Dr. As much of a pain as they have been today, they are just so darn cute!

Guess Who's Going To Be A Big Sister!!!

Yep, I think my sister is crazy:) But I guess when you have a kid as cute as this you just want to keep having them!

Rest Of Omaha

Here is a picture of all of us...my Mom, her three sisters and two of my cousins at the banquet last night to end the convention. They were semi-celebrities here because they are 4 sisters with celiac disease and everyone thought that was pretty amazing since it usually does not affect everyone in a family!
This is what the mall in Omaha looks like, I am definitely a little jealous.
We had to take a break to enjoy Cold Stone Creamery in order to continue our non-stop eating. Tonight, though, there are two aunts throwing up and a couple of others not feeling well. I'm hoping that I can get home without getting sick as being on an airplane tomorrow with the stomach flu does not sound fun!

Food, Food and more Food

All we have done so far is eat! There is so much good food everywhere. I'm pretty sure by the end of the trip I will have gained at least 10 additional pounds that I do not need.

Hello Omaha!!

Well I stocked up on frozen waffles and chicken nuggets for all the boys and flew with my mom to Omaha for a little trip! We will be here for 5 nights, which is longer than I have left either my kids or my hubby before:( We met all of my mom's sisters and a couple of cousins to have fun for a few days and to attend a conference on Celiac Disease (as every one of us has been diagnosed with Celiac or a gluten sensitivity as well as some of our kids, talk about strong genes!) The entire hotel is gluten-free for the convention so it is nice to be able to go somewhere and not have to worry about food. The hubby said that the kids did not even seem to notice that I was gone tonight when he put them to bed. I'm sure they will miss me a little bit, but I hope that they will be good for my hubby and dad who is watching them while hubby works!

Three

Dear Little Man,
I can't believe that you are three all ready. You are no longer a baby and every time I happen to slip and call you a baby you are sure to correct me very strongly with I am not a baby. You are still a big momma's boy, though, and although that can be frustrating at times, I like to be needed as I know someday you will only want to hang out with your dad and do boy things. I love how you wake me up every morning by trying to find my belly to give the baby hugs and kisses and to talk to the baby, you are just so excited to meet your sister and ask about her all the time. Your not always so sweet, though, like when I kiss you and you wipe it off and scream at me no kisses. I try not to take it personally, though. So, now I just go kiss you when you sleep so you don't know! You are also a bully and it cracks me up when you do something wrong and we call you over to have a talk with you and you will put on a big smile and raise your eyebrows as if to say your not going to punish me, I'm too cute. And if we do punish you, watch out, because we will pay for it by listentening to you scream for hours, I know we are so unfair.
I can all ready tell that you are going to be girl crazy at a young age, as you have that look in your eyes whenever you see a pretty little girl and all ready you talk about who you are going to marry. You are a little comedian as well and keep us all entertained with your silliness. When you are being especially silly you have this deep voice that you like to talk in that makes us laugh every time. Our hope for you is that in the next year you will overcome your inability to get your pee to go into the toilet and that you will stop picking your nose. We love you anyways though, and know that you are going to be a great big brother and can't wait to see what the next year will bring.

We let the kids choose where they want to go for their birthday, and he wanted to go to Chuck E Cheese, so last weekend that is where we went with 4 sets of grandparents and aunts and uncles and cousins. Needless to say he had a great time.

She Said Yes!!

Well it is official, my little brother is getting married. I don't think he could have found a better person and we are so excited for the wedding!

Finger Painting

The kids get excited and start begging me to paint when they see me come home from Costco with big boxes. Since fingerpainting is so messy I usually only let them do it with their clothes off and on boxes outside!
They don't care, as long as they get to do it.

Bubbles

This month at the Science Center the topic was bubbles. Is there any kid that doesn't like bubbles? It started off with a lesson on surface tension and trying to figure out how many drops of water you can fit on a penny (43 in our class!)
Of course there was lots of play time and jumping around with bubbles.
The kids got to be inside of a bubble, although I couldn't get a picture that showed the bubble!
Then they got to make Boo Bubbles, or bubbles filled with dry ice smoke.
Those looked pretty cool when they popped.

Baby's Room

I believe I have everything for the room now except for the paint. Although at this point I'm just way too exhausted to think about painting so I'm thinking it doesn't look too bad with blue paint:) I LOVE the curtains I found! The only problem is that I have been unable to find any pink sheets that match the curtains. You can't buy single sheets in this set. So, I have been buying every pink sheet I can find and then taking them back. I still have to try Pottery Barn so I am hoping they have a matching pink.
This is her newborn and 0-3 months winter clothes. I don't think she is going to wear the same thing twice! What makes it even nicer is that I have not bought even one item of clothing for her yet.

Another One

Meet Spiderwhale (don't ask I don't get the name either!) Big Man caught him last night. He didn't want him to be lonely so he put Spiderman in with him. He was telling all of us how he is going to keep him forever and is even going to get up in the middle of the night just to check on him, but not to worry because then he would go right back to sleep. When the Hubby was putting him to bed last night Big Man told him to use his lizard voice to tell the lizard that we are going to be his new mommy and daddy and brothers so he shouldn't be lonely. Unfortunately Spiderwhale must have escaped during the night, I just don't understand how that always seems to happen:)

Fall

We have been getting in the mood for fall around here. This week we did Halloween crafts and made pumpkin bread!
Big Man did every part of this pumpkin by himself, it is nice that he is able to do things on his own and you can still tell what it is.
I cut out Little Man's face pieces, but as you can tell he did everything else himself. He loves his pumpkin, though, and has been telling everyone that it is his Scary Pumpkin!
We made these cute little paper pumpkins and hung them from all of the fans as well.
Don't mind the dirty mirror in the backround! These jack-o-lanterns are made out of old paperback books and look so cute in person. I learned how to make them Here.

You Know Your A Mom Of Boys When...

Your son walks in and says look what I got Mom, and you are relieved it is only a lizard tail that he throws on the counter. Thankfully it was not a dead animal or a live insect as both of those, and more, have been brought to me. Why can't they just play outside without having to investigate everything!
