Our Christmas
We opened presents at my Mom's on Christmas Eve morning. The kids were just a little excited!
After opening their presents did they even want to play with their gifts? No, they just wanted to play in the boxes and with the bubble wrap!
A co-worker of my hubby's has dressed as Santa and has visited the kids for the past 3 years on Christmas Eve. The kids were so impressed because we were at great grandma's house and he still found us.
Santa gave the kids a gift, it didn't even dawn on me until they were opening them that Big Man was with me when I bought these presents. I think he thought hard when he saw them and then just said to Little Man later: We bought you the same camera at the store, that's crazy! I told him that since Santa brought him the camera I was going to take the other one back.
Christmas morning the kids had stockings and got what they have been talking about for weeks, a trumpet. They were totally convinced they were getting a trumpet but I could not find one in any store. Finally I bought them off of Amazon and just paid for 2 day shipping. It was well worth the smiles on their faces:) We then went and opened presents with my hubby's family as well. The kids are now well stocked on toys and are wondering why Santa can't come more than on Christmas Eve.Tuesday, December 23, 2008
Another Appointment...
Snow Day
We went up to Flagstaff last weekend to let the kids play in the snow for a while. We have a spot right off of the highway that we have gone to for the past 3 years that works out perfectly and we are always by ourselves in fresh snow!

Gingerbread Village
While we were out shopping the other day we stopped in at the Marriot hotel by Desert Ridge mall to look at their Gingerbread village. The kids really liked it. They had a train running through it and Sponge Bob lived in just about every house!
If you go in that area soon I would highly recommend stopping and looking at them.Friday, December 19, 2008
Daddy's Old
Daddy turned the big 3-0 today! The kids think that is really old. This is how he looked when I met him when he was 14!
I can't believe we have known each other for almost 16 years, that is a really long time! He no longer has the long brown hair, or much hair for that matter but I do think he looks good bald!
Back in those days we would talk on the phone all of the time. I can remember actually being on the phone with him for 8 straight hours one day when I was stuck on the couch with a sprained ankle (that was his fault too!) Now I am lucky if I can get 5 minutes out of him on the phone.
I didn't really believe him when he told me back in high school that we were going to get married, but I'm glad he never gave up on me since I can't imagine being married to anyone else:)

36 Weeks
Had my appointment with both my Midwife and the O.B. Dr. at the practice and baby is still breech:( We had not really been considering doing a version but the Dr. told us that he will be very gentle and she will be monitered the whole time to make sure that she isn't under any stress. I had read a lot of scary things about doing a version on the internet but my Dr. said he has never had a bad outcome in 20 years and that if I was his daughter he would be doing a version instead of just scheduling a c-section. They said the baby is in a good position, kind of sideways and I have lots of fluid and he thought there was an 80% chance of getting her to flip. So this Sunday I will be in the hospital and hopefully come home with a head down baby!
Went shopping today as Children's Place and Carters were having big sales and here are a couple of the outfits my Mom got her. She has so many dresses and skirts that these are probably going to be her everyday kind of clothes! I also don't think she will be wearing the same thing more than once for at least 6 months, do you think she is going to be spoiled!Wednesday, December 17, 2008

ZooLights
We went to the Phoenix Zoo last week for zoolights. The hubby and I hadn't been in about 5 years and the kids had never gone. I think I enjoyed it the most, but the kids had a pretty good time.
It appeared to be someone's lucky night as this came on about halfway through the night!
This big talking giraffe was the kids favorite part. You can tell a guy your kids name and he will have the giraffe say there name and when the giraffe said the kids names Big Man yelled so loudly How did he do that, ever since he has asked several times as well How did that giraffe know my name, that is sooo crazy!
Hubby's favorite part was probably getting to meet Mohammad Ali who was at Zoolights with his family and was just meeting people in the food court. All he cared about were the kids and tried giving both my kids hugs and putting them on his lap, but they were absolutely terrified. I couldn't even get Big Man to stand by Daddy for a picture, nor could I get Mohammad Ali to look at the camera:)He really didn't say anything but anytime a baby or small child would go by he would light up and would want to kiss and hold the little babies, it was very sweet

Can Style Be Learned???

The First Gingerbread Houses
For the past few years we have been going to a friends house and having a Gingerbread House party. First the kids make ornaments and then put together little houses.
Little Man was pretty particular about which candies he wanted in his pile.

Turn Baby Turn
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
On a different note... The kids were laying down patting my belly and talking to the baby and I was telling Big Man that he use to love laying on my belly when Little Man was in there. Then Little Man asked if he use to do that when Big Man was in my belly. Big Man tells him, No silly, you were still a seed at the store and Mommy and Daddy hadn't bought you yet! And no, I did not correct him.

Of course he wants to be just like his big brother.
